dbits is a different unit than Decred. As @Lenasurlenet says here, you need to change your display unit. There's lots of information already out there about dbits. Try to search the forum!
Scroll down a bit. It looks like the majority of your coins ended up here. It's perfectly normal for an address to be empty after coins have been spent from it. (In fact this is preferable.) You may find those coins are still in your wallet once you've got it set up. [edit]Or you used the example seed instead of the one generated with dcraddrgen. In which case congratulations on your joint wallet. Cryptocoins don't work like that. Unclaimed coins are stuck behind a cryptographic wall which would take more than 10,000 years of computing power to break. This is why we are able to use them as a currency, and how we are able to secure them against theft. Any airdrop coins which were distributed to wallets for which the seed has been lost are, for all intents and purposes, gone forever.
Heh, A lot of people copy-pasting seeds from confirmation link. They think it's their seed but it's not! It's example of how seed may look like.
You are right, but i'm talking about that coins that wasn't already sent to users due the uneligibility @ airdrop. Think that some coins was not still sent to all: if i understand well ( @_ingsoc can confirm or not) first step had ~8700 +/- applications, but only 3,244 participants have successfully completed the airdrop confirmation process.....after reviewing every single applications, some participants was removed due to a final inspection round about requisite of Airdrop application, and that coins was not sent.. Maybe i'm wrong
Those who were excluded from the 3244 confirmed participants were not eglibile for coin distribution therefore their part was shared between those who were qualified for the distribution. That's why final airdropped coins per user reached 282 dcr/ user insted of the estimation of 256dcr/ user which was calculated for the 3244 participants. All the airdrop coins were distributed between the 2970 final participants no coins remained undistributed
Many thanks for your clarification At least now i know that who didn't was on Airdrop have 0 chance to get some other coins distributed by dev's and the only way is to get on exchanges
Yep. Protip: If your seed was: Code: treadmill Chicago wallet phonetic absurd midsummer fracture bottomless Vulcan leprosy snapline corporate classroom gravity klaxon tolerance drainage Cherokee payday headwaters concert existence edict therapist rematch torpedo necklace bravado revenge outfielder adult specialist swelter Then you have failed to read the instructions. (I checked, the whole wallet is empty now.)
from DECRED dev ===> "i was just about to contact you i've looked into your airdrop and here is what happened - you were approved, sent an approval email and never registered after receiving the approval email, you had to follow a link and submit an address"
Man... I wish I would have thought of checking that. Probably quite a nice payout for the first one to clear it out!
It hadn't even ocurred to me that someone might use it. Looks like whoever did realize they should clear it out did so more than 3 hours after the Mainnet launch, so that would have been plenty of time.
Took about 3 hours to get to block 256 and spend them. I wonder how many people were watching, and if it was like an eBay auction...
Guys the seed change every time i close & open it.So which one would you import ? and is the exchange ON ?
What are you opening and closing? Dcraddrgen generates a new seed every time it's run. You were supposed to save the seed that generated the address you used to register for the airdrop. If you didn't register for the airdrop, then it doesn't really matter, pick a wallet seed(I suggest the one that generated the address in your signature), and stick with it. [edit]I see by punching that address into the block explorer that it does have airdrop coins in it. You want to use the same seed you used to generate that address. If you didn't save either the 33-word seed or the corresponding hex value somewhere, like dcraddrgen told you to do twice and the registration website told you to do as well, then your coins are lost.
Hello! First, I want to thank Decred team for a very good job on creating Decred and such a nice gift in aproving me for the air drop! 2-nd: since I-m a noob and dont quite figure what to do with the verison of the windows wallet, Is there a deadline for when I need to redeem my airdrop coins ? Couse I want to wait until a simple qt wallet is out . Thank you!
No deadline, as long as the coins were sent to your address and you have the address details (seed), you're good permanently.
I am lucky cause i took a SS of the command window loll...I see it is on but the price is above a dollar ? was meant to be 0.45 $ , NO ?
