Not much of a problem as of now I guess? There isn't any news of GUI releases and some new feature/marketplace etc. People will get less interested and tend to drop it off and move on. I would say that the price might even drop lower until there are some new things coming out that interests the investors? hmm. for now lets buy all cheap decred and get them into staking xD

I agree about GUI and new features.
I'd hazard a guess the price will go below 1 USD in a month or two.

Hazard a guess, yes. We don't really now.
My own observation is that the price has been surprisingly stable for quite some time.
It could go up it could go down. The only thing we can say is that the project development has not stopped, new features have been implemented and bugs have been fixed. The web wallet is clearly needed. Also solo stake mining appears tricky. I have two machines on high speed low latency connections so I'm doing OK, no missed votes, but a lot of people at home are missing votes.

Would you fill me up with how your high speed low latency connections are getting no missed/revoked votes? I have the exact same high speed low latency connection yet I gotten 10 revokes..

Yes development has not stopped but I believe people are waiting to see what exactly is coming and by roughly which period/time/date.

I have two machines voting on two separate networks. Both 100% uptime.
Also upgrade software on one machine with the newest version and upgrade the second one after a couple of days if no obvious bugs are found.
Pretty high chance of success. Has worked well so far!

I was curious about the reasons that would drive the interest and the price up. I stated my thoughts, why it is going to go down in the near future.
But you are right, sure it could go up ;)

Also - there are some hints, why e.g. this RFP about mining and pools will not be finished any time soon.

EDIT : on the other hand - as POLONIEX seems to be trading DCR now - this seems to be a big reason to drive the price something like 50 % up :)

    Whatever I want.
I fully expect the price to end up around $1.45, but the graph doesn't look like it's going that direction right now.

This was an interesting read about the perception of "value". While this article names Bitcoin, there is an underlying point that is not specific to Bitcoin itself.

    https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/why-bitcoin-value-doesnt-matter/

...And then you have this article so poorly written that it completely dodges the point behind cryptocurrency. Probably written by some paid shill to try to get some confidence from those unaware of the potential of crytpo.

Anyways, my positive projection for the future of Decred is not what it will be worth in terms of USD... just the fact that I hold some Decred is positive enough for me. What will you base your value on when the USD is no longer relevant?
