beats me, from how its showing on the stats, there are ppl already buying at lower fee. Well, I suggest that we wait till there are more information about it before we start setting the fee.

Looks like ~5dcr/ticket is going to be the magic number, diff adjusted up a tiny bit but still just under 5.

A little offtopic guys, a small question.

Under the new command stakeinfo, i saw a list of "immature tickets" which i have purchased , lets say 10. All these tickets eventually become matured over time and become "Live" tickets. Eventually 2 of these tickets voted and i got my subsidy of approximately ~1.8DCR each.

    Now my stakeinfo shows :

    Immature Tickets : 0
    Live Tickets : 8
    Voted : 2.

I have a maxticketprice set at 20 by default setting.

My question is, aren't these tickets released back into my wallet once they have voted and a new ticket is re-bought? In this case, why isn't my Immature Tickets doesn't shows 2 since fresh tickets should have been purchased?

My apology if i understood the system wrongly. Please enlighten me.

    Thanks!

Yeah, and 4,91 DCR is all time average ticket price. I've updated dcrstats to suggest buy tickets when current price less than average, and in other cases to suggest don't buy. I'm going to finish ticket price predictions next week, then this logic will be finished, considering average price, min, max and estimated next price.

Current ticket price ~ 4.83 DCR. What is your --ticketmaxprice parameter and spendable balance now? Wallet will buy new ticket only if you have enough money for it, and your maxprice is higher or equal to current price.

The first time i bought the ticket yesterday when it was priced at 7++.

    Today it's down to 4.83.
My --ticketmaxprice is 20 (default setting)
    -getbalall is showing 100
-getbal is showing 1.5 (I set min wallet to 1)

So far, 2 tickets has voted out of 100 live tickets. So i have 98 live tickets left.

If i dont understand wrongly, when 2 is voted, doesn't means that 7++DCR x2 + subsidies is returned as my spendable balance and hence, is ready to buy new tickets again at current price? I have never seen my spendable balance increase. It has always been locked.

    Sorry, I don't understand what you've wrote.

First command will show you coins, that you can spend for tickets or any other transactions.
Second - all your coins, including locked (which you already spent for tickets)
    Code:
dcrctl --wallet getbalance default 0 spendable
dcrctl --wallet getbalance default 0 all

You can buy new ticket only if your "spendable" amount + 0.05 fee is > current ticket price 4.83 DCR (for the next 8 hours)

Hm, ok let me try to simplify it.

Basically, i had 100 Live tickets to begin with.
2 of these tickets has voted and i'm down to 98 Live Tickets.
Why am i not automatically purchasing new tickets again?
Shouldn't i have 100 tickets at all times (Live+Immature) assuming that auto re-purchasing is done. (My first purchase was at 7DCR, the price is cheaper now, so i'm sure there's no problem re-purchasing)

My understanding of the purchase cycle was ( Spendable DCR -> Purchase tickets (Immature) -> Tickets Matured (Live) -> Live Ticket Voted -> Original purchase price + Subsidy returned as spendable DCR (which should be about ~17DCR which i have not witnessed so far) -> Back to step 1). I may be wrong though.

My maxticketprice is set at 20 so there's no restriction there.

OH! I THINK I UNDERSTAND NOW.

Does the returned "Original Ticket price + Subsidy" need 250+ confirmations before it can be used again? That explains why am i not seeing the balance nor new tickets being purchased. I feel so dumb now. Sorry for the confusion.

Yes, it takes quite some time for the rewards to be credited into your address, if I recall its around 256 blocks as well. Typically you will get the rewards in your address by 1 day's time. Until then, your wallet is unable to purchase new tickets unless you bought more decred or withdrawn them from the pool.

The coins are returned within 1 confirmation of the vote but you cant ues them or see them in balance until 256 confirms. I think "--wallet getbalance" command should have a immature/unconfirmed balance type to see this balance.

You can see your funds wit these commands:

    Code:
    --wallet getbalance all
    --wallet getbalance locked
    --wallet getbalance spendable
The stake rewards will be available 1-2 days after voting. The 'subsidy' amount you get with the 'getstakeinfo' is the amount of stake rewards you have collected from your votings overall time.

If you want to get an idea on how to expect new rewards added to your spendable funds, in my oppinion it's best to track down and throw an eye on the date of your votings. Use this command to parse your wallet logfile:

    Code:
    cat dcrwallet.log | grep SStx | grep -o "[0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9]-[0-9][0-9]-[0-9][0-9]" | uniq -c
    Back to topic:
I'd invested my complete airdrop into tickets. Even if they never get selected for voting, the funds will be locked for a maximum of 5 months. So ~4.55 with a chance of a 1.8 reward over a maximum timespan of 5 months sound like a very good investment for me. On the other hand you are backing the dcr.chain with your trust by locking your funds into it and voting 1's

I noticed that after receiving PoS reward, the DCR that was used to purchase the ticket, still remained locked. Does it take 5 months to get my funds back? How is the time determined? Is it possible that my funds get permanently locked? (I have noticed some bugfixes about locked funds)

I believe you will get your funds and your PoS stake reward back at the same time. Got to confirm with @sambiohazard though. The locked funds fix has nothing to do with this if I remember correctly..

AFAIK people having fund missing/locked was due to a bug in revoking of missed tickets. If a user missed vote due to being offline then the vote was not getting removed from mempool when they came online. Devs have enabled auto pruning of missed votes for this in latest release. Although i saw someone reporting a double spend error on revoke tx for a ticket, maybe now something else is broken.

PoS rewards+funds used for buying remain locked for 256 blocks from voting. Also funds will remain locked perpetually if you keep buying tickets with PoS rewards+funds usedfor buying tickets, after they unlock. You either have to increase your "balancetomaintain" parameter or stop buying tickets if you want more spendable funds.
