nope in keys.txt you have an extended public key(i dont know what it means) & your airdrop address. You had to save your seed when you created your first address. Its not saved automatically anywhere.
Oh, sure, my mistake. I've manually added seed to the end of that file. I'm just updated first message to avoid future mistakes.
I have created my web wallet with my airdrop address's seed, however there are still no dbits at all. I tried re-scan or re-create the wallet but nothing help. kind regards edit : and the address of the wallet I have created not even the same address shown on the airdrop confirmation page, also if I try to create a new wallet with the same seed it doesn't let me. #1BeatHimUp, 14 minutes ago Last edited: 2 minutes ago
Please, re-check you seeds. If you are using seeds from confirmation link - thats wrong! This seeds are example not actual seeds.
Trying to import my wallet instead of using the seed. It wont accept the password. Tried both public and private passphrases.
I'm still not sure but it looks like it's expected behavior. Theory: 1. You have seeds for creating wallet. You can use seed - than you will get your early-created wallet on particular computer (or webwallet). 2. If you don't use seed, new one will be generated for future use. 3. The seed itself is some sort of password. 4. If you want copy your wallet to another computer you don't need seeds. You can export from one, than import on other. 5. If someone steal your exported wallet he can import it to his computer and grab DCR's. To avoid this system provide you a way to protect exported wallet with passphrase. So, I think when you importing wallet it expect the password which you have to set during export
Is there something wrong, with the block explorer? - When I --wallet getbalance. There is no problem. But when I check the address on the explorer. It says empty? Figured it's on the explorers end. Since I've gotten transactions on the address I'm trying to look up.
Did you use the same seed to create a dcrwallet and web wallet? That is not a recommend use case due to sychronization problems that occur between 2 HD wallets with the same seed. This has been discussed several times in other places on the forum, e.g. https://forum.decred.org/threads/public-testnet-evaluation.116/page-8#post-6383
No no. I'm using the binaries and ConEMU. - It was just a problem with the chain not showing my balance. It's working fine again. Was just curious.
Hi guys , i did open my wallet online , so what shell i do to buy tichet , i have to buy some decred to open a ticket , how much ? any chance to get this tichet and trie ? thanks for the answer!
You cannot stake or buy tickets with the web wallet alone. If you are not using command line wallet then you have to wait until either GUI wallet comes out or stakepool is released for the mainnet.
I hope that staking will be an opportunity in the future!!! I do not know how to use command lines, but am really interested in the stake pool.
