One more thing...for step 9 (opening your wallet), the private passphrase is the 33 word key? LE: nevermind, it's the one used when creating the wallet
You would have entered them during creation of the wallet using dcrwallet --create. Try hard to remember and make sure you never forget it.
"7)Next step, type the following command, dcrwallet -u user -P pass --walletpass publicpassphrase --dcrdusername=user --dcrdpassword=pass Replace 'user' and 'pass' with username and password and publicpassphrase with the publickey you entered in the previous step." is 'user' and 'pass' not the one i created in step 5? and should dcrdusername and dcrdpassword stay the same? Also step 8, is the user and pass the same created in step 5? Op should really put which user and pass we must use or if we must keep it as stated in the command sentence.
hello i completed step 7 but when i try to do step 8 it appears this: Post https://localhost:9110: dial tcp [::1]:9110: connectex: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it. anyone can help me?
ffs guys do i need to keep user and pass the same or change it in step 8, dcrctl -u user -P pass --wallet getnewaddress worst guide ever, its much different than biohazard. now i screwed up everything. the team hasnt done shit in 3 years, another shitcoin for fcking nerds.
Well after that chastisement I really have the urge to help you. Even if you should know that the user and password have to match the ones you ran dcrd with...
Unencrypted binaries are available now, only difference is you don't need a password to extract them. @anondran
Yeap......No password. I think mainnet was encrypted to prevent unauthorised sources from pre mining. Got high hopes for Decred. Let us make it shine
So I hadn't actually read anondran's tutorial because I naturally assumed it was good, but this is one case where mine might actually be a bit clearer. And this is why I like to send people links to several tutorials.
