I let the first command run over night, what do you mean run the dcrwallet commands?

 

LoL that is unnecessary.
First use the
dcrd -u username -P password command in a command prompt.
LET THIS RUN.
Open new cmd and use the dcrwallet command. let this run too.
Then finally in new cmd run the dcrclt command.

I am a bit confused about the wallets. I have a web wallet that I moved the airdrop decred to. When i mine, should i create a new wallet with ./dcrwallet --create or should i mine to the webwallet and how do i do that?
Looked around on the forum but could not figure out.

not necessary, just use
./dcrd ...... --miningaddr=DxxxYourWebWalletAddress

finally got everything set up! good to know that in the provided guide your username and password need to be inside a single quote, and that your publickey should not be. I have sent decred to my address that i previously purchased. anyone know how long it should take those decred to clear through and show up in my balance?

 

It should start showing in your wallet after 1 confirmation for a normal tx. So however long it take to get your tx in a block which could be anywhere between 30 seconds to 30 minutes depanding on your luck and tx fee.

i don't think that is possible, i don't remember any commands to do that.

 

Its possible. U will have to recreate wallet from seed.

 

What mission of this additiona layer? If someone will take control of a machine with dcr software he can't start the dcrwallet without this passphrase?

hello
i am in 3. cmd window , but i get error during creation new wallet as the client was never connected . and other 2 cmd windows working , but 2nd window also has same error : the client is never connected .
i used old version as in article ( 7th february . 20160207-01 )
i have to use newer version or whats the problem ? in fact first i tried at new version but after i entered my seeds it was just waiting so i closed all windows and renamed 2 dcr folders ( wallet one was empty ) as another name before starting again with old version .

so now whats the problem please help me . how i can continue ? how i can connect the client ?

DO Not close it. That's the daemon it needs to be on always.

 

yes i didnt close it . but at 2nd window and 3rd one i got same error the client is never connected .
now from where i have to start again ? i closed all windows now . with old version or newest one ? no matter ? february or may version ? and if i start again i let appdata folders ? now there are two folders there . dcrd ( 40 mb ) and dcrwallet ( 1 mb ) so i have to keep this dcrwallet file that contains my airdrop wallet with i imported with seeds inside ?
