Sorry to ask again but can somebody please tell me what's the CPU utilization/% usage of cgminer.exe while mining on Windows? On my FX 8350 and Windows 10 x64 Pro, cgminer.exe uses 28% of the CPU while mining on testnet. Is this normal? While just benchmarking it was only using 15% of the CPU. Latest v0.0.3 cgminer for Decred - VGA R9 380.
So 28% of all CPU 8 cores isn't high? I am mining using the GPU. So I guess if I only had a dual core CPU the PC would be unusable for anything more than mining?
do I need a new cgminer specific build for decred mainnet or will I be able to mine using the cgminer that worked with testnet?
In Windows with an R9 380 I have the same issue. But auto for fan speed works fine for me, only change I make is intensity with no problem. A fixed number for gpu fan causes BSOD after quiting. Seems like the only workaround is to change back to auto before quitting or restarting cgminer.
I don't know if there is going to be an update https://github.com/decred/cgminer/releases/ after mainnet launch but you will be able to mine with the same cgminer. But of course you'll have to get a mainnet address from wallet first and run dcrd for mainnet with miningaddr=the new decred address.
I think I'm mining mainnet right now, what is the block count? I can't verify whether i am actually mining on mainnet
Hey I am getting found share for pool 0! message but no accept or reject message after it! Have I done anything wrong?
