Those numbers do seem to add up well to what we are seeing .

 

Finally. Not exactly the model, but it does tell me that it's an R7 3xx GPU, which explains the low hashrate.

EVGA GTX 980 SC - 1.5 Gh/s at intensity 10. Increasing the intensity on this card doesn't appear to do anything for performance. I don't know if it's because of cgminer not being optimized for nvidia, or because decred is more reliant on memory?

ASUS GTX 760 - 235.5 Mh/s at intenstiy 8. I may bump it up to 10 to see if there is any improvement, but it's driving my monitors right now.

Looks like I've found 6 blocks in about 3.5 hours.

Will be getting another GTX 980 in a few days to have ready for main launch. I actually had a rig set up with a few older cards for Decred mining, but I shorted the MB last week. Oops!

 

Ouch with the shorted card, personally if your finding blocks i wouldnt increase any settings.

Looking forward to summer when I return home, judging by that 500W power usage.

 

Is there any reason not to go too high with the intensity setting? The default had it running at 7 and I was getting ~1.7Gh/s. I changed it to 5 per @thepotterone but that dropped it to ~1.4Gh/s. I then started bumping it up without even messing with my video card settings, right now I've got it at 12 and I'm getting ~1.86Gh/s and my R9 290X is sticking to 83-85 C.

 

Upped it to 14 (as high as it would go) and ran it for an hour and got this:

less intensity is less work on the card (cooler temperature = better performance) keep an eye on your temps when changing the I setting.

 

Okay, cool. During my hour test temps stayed in the 83-85 range, so I'm good with that. Thanks man!

 

Hey, my optimal temp is 75 also perfect for indoor greenhouses.

 

Does anyone have a windows 64bit cgminer that works with Decred? I'm now using a 32bit version on a 64bit machine and I get half te performance I got using the benchmark in 64bit version. I could not get cgminer64bit 3.7.2 to connect and mine
