Hi everyone, We are giving a community push at the moment, and I'm looking to build a strong one. If you have more than 1000Dcr try to get involved by connecting with each other, create meetings, spread the word. When the price will reach new levels, we'll have a duty here. Don't you think? Answer to the Poll please! Cheers
You should of had more options in your pool such as : Under 100 1-500 501-1000 1001-8999 Over 9000! Im getting close to the over 9000 myself but i stopped makin bigger bags atm and holding on to what i have.
I just want to see potential leader. We have to do the marketing at our level. And we will need to make flyers, brochure, etc...
Then, 9 people said yes, let's connect on Slack: https://slack.decred.org @Alexoz @Dbt1033 Stay anon by contacting us in direct messages! Let's build!
Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I find it a little weird to ask people about their holdings in any currency.
You should pay the developers with decred coins. How much do you offer for this job? You should allocate a portion of the block reward to development purposes.
You might want to read some of the intro docs about decred (start on decred.org or docs.decred.org) since part of the block reward going to an org to pay for development is exactly what decred does.
In that case, why more developers are needed? It is obvious that the part of the block reward that goes to the organization never arrives to the developers, or alternatively it is not much money and you cannot pay with it the developers. You need governance, in order to decide more money to go directly to developers. By the way, how much money goes to this organizasion, and how this organization works?
There's as a few devs who worked for free to provide services to the community... I did the same last year, and keep doing it!
Look at the RFP section of the forum: https://forum.decred.org/forums/requests-for-proposals/ contracting work is happening to help move decred forward. Getting developers and making progress takes time. The people working on things so far have been really great so I think that says something for the way we've been recruiting and working with people so far. If you want to contribute yourself, you should join the discussion on slack, irc, or github.
