...And here come the ticket fee wars. But the good news is, I don't think they will last long. There seems to be two types of PoS miners. The ones that want to buy with high fees with low ticket prices and the ones that want to buy with low fees and moderate ticket prices. The people that have no luck in purchasing tickets at the lowest prices (due to other users setting higher-than-average fees) will resort to purchasing at the next lowest price (probably around 12-15 DCR). The influx of ticket purchases at this 12-15 DCR price range will no longer allow the extreme lows of 6-8 DCR as we've seen in the last week. At that point, 12-15 DCR will become the new low and this process will repeat, or the number of people that have purchased tickets at 12-15 DCR will have all their DCR tied up in PoS and they will be out of the game for awhile until their tickets vote, thus bringing the ticket price back down. This is very interesting to watch. I see it not only as a small economy but also as a social experiment. Anyways, to the point of this thread - the new ticket purchase code in this version has been working flawlessly. I am no longer stuck waiting for change from pending SStx orders to purchase tickets using all of my available DCR.
Yup, it seems to work, although one block late because of known issues. BTW, I was somewhat amused by the new ticket frequency setting. It's introduction just seems to be, uh, disingenuous.
There seem to be more miners using the new version, I got all my tickets mined with a slightly increased fee this time around, with 3k still in mempool. Previously that wasn't the case!
Maybe the reason some miners don't upgrade so fast to the latest version is because v0.1.0 is marked as unstable and the older v0.0.10 is marked as stable.
Take a look at this: https://github.com/RakaMaru/decred-python-helper/blob/master/decred_peer_management.py
Take a look at this: https://github.com/RakaMaru/decred-python-helper/blob/master/decred_peer_management.py Code: ## What this does: ## You decide what version of dcrd you want your peers to be ## and eventually only those versions will be your peers ## all other versions will be disconnected every time you ## run this command.
Unexpectedly most of my purchased tickets on ~ 8.40 ticket price with the ticket fee set to default 0.01 got mined and became immature a few blocks before ticket price adjustment. I really didn't expect this, I've just wanted to test one more time the luck of the new lower default ticket fee and other relevant changes with a low ticket price.
Unfortunately, all my tickets that were set to 0.051 transaction fee got all returned to me and none made it in for this same round. I expected that with the large mem pool that accumulated.
i don't understand how the tickets be choose when a lot of tickets in the mempool, what should i do ,increase the txfee or the ticketfee?
What do u mean when u say ticketfee? And txfee must be increased if u want to be sure it will be included.
There are two different commands: setticketfee and settxfee You need to increase the default fee by using the setticketfee command.
