Just to throw out an idea, how about something like this:
    upload_2015-12-24_19-13-20.png
Seems to bring forth both a "decentralized" (off-center logo) and a "breaching borders" motif.

It looks pretty nice but it's a little exaggerated than the actual logo.

That could be some nice contrast. We'll have to see how it looks! :)

Ocnios, could you post a jpg of the colors you used with the color values in text on each color?
I realize these colors are used on the website and forum already.
My idea is just to have a formalized "Decred Color Palette" for anyone who wants to contribute.
    Something like this:

Edit: I did some 'learnin' and if someone just posts the RGB or Hex I can make the palette chart.

Not just a Decred Color Palette but an entire Style Guide. ie. what fonts to use, what colors to use, what color combinations to use, what font color combinations to use, and what color and font color combinations to use. Many large corporations have strict style guidlines that designers must follow.

After working with the logos a bit I'd like to share my thoughts from a screen printer's point of view. These are the logos I like and a few variations for fun. iconfont.png logo.png logo_triangle_concept.jpg . I'm not crazy about the font but it is fine. I really like the logo. It is simple, strong, versatile and well designed which I think are all qualities of the product it represents. This logo will look great printed in one color which is the cheapest way to print on things like tshirts, and sometimes your only option on other products. It will work equally well as a white logo on black background or black logo on white background. Some logos don't. It is also simple enough that when you want to go crazy and add a bazillion colors to it, it will still look solid. It will work well with most any of the processes we will encounter as we move forward. So I don't see any reason to change the logo at all in my opinion. It also looks great on the header of this forum. Is there already a tagline? I think one would be very useful. I imagine this logo and the word Decred on a tshirt, it will look good, but might need a little extra to help those not familiar with it to figure out what the shirt means. So a simple tagline might help clarify things. I don't have any great ideas for one yet but I'm sure somebody could come up with something good. The commentor above me his name is Freedom2Choose. That might make a good tagline. Or something to that effect. Those are my thoughts so far anyway. Good job on the logo whoever designed it, things are looking good.

I am actually 100% ok with you guys using my name as the official tagline ;) The only tagline I have officially found is "Rethink Digital Currency".

You could aways use "Decred; because my grandma uses Bitcoin"

lol, good suggestions, I like the edgy ones. "Rethink Digital Currency" is perfectly fine in my book. It's professional and explains the project. Thanks for permission to use your handle Freedom, I like that name a lot.

These are quite nice. I like that the background colour is dynamic and can be used for different contexts, like @evanjdevs pointed out. @OCNIOS, do you have the .svg files for these that you can upload? That'd be good so others can build on those source files.
