I'm not that new to crypto currency to be honest, but this is the first coin I'm following from the beginning, so please don't be too harsh lol. I've set up the testnet and cgminer, cgminer told me a few minutes later that I've found a block and that the latest share was 3. Then I took a look into my wallet through
    Code:
dcrctl -u user -P pass --wallet getbalance --testnet /notls
but it says "0". What did I do wrong here?

    From IRC:

Also i think balance shows up only after block is mature, it takes 16 confs for that on testnet.

You can check before the coin are mature with the list of transactions :
    Code:
dcrctl --testnet -u (walletuser) -P (walletpassword) --notls --wallet listtransactions

thanks guys...I was so happy to see a lbit of a balance in wallet. yeehaa - I toned down GPU intensity a bit cause I felt sorry for the card working so hard, lol. benchmark was 397 Mh/s and toned down to 305 Mh/s so still ~ 76.8% of capacity and GPU at 66 degrees so not too hot. a good compromise.
