First of all Create account at aws.amazon.com after that login to console
    >when you are on aws home screen in compute section select ec2
    >then blue button called launch instance
    >select Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 Base - ami-9801cffb
    >then select t2.micro Free tier eligible
    >then review and launch instance
    > press launch >select create new key pair and name it then download key pair store that file at safe location (this is password file)
    >launch instance ,u successfully created instance
    now
    >after that go to home page again press ec2 again
    >now here u can see no of running instance , in your case press 1 running instance under resource
    >select the instance which is running and press connect
    > Popup windows will appeare first download remote desktop file
    > then press get password
    > on next windows select .pem file which we downloaded earlier.and press decrypt password it will give password something like this tt&LfBK!?z .
Now just open remote desktop file which we downloaded earlier and put your password there. and your good to go
download mainnet binaries with internet explorer (if ur unable to download from ie just go to ie internet options >security >custom lvl > Downloads >enable and then download google chrome if u want because ie gives to much trouble to download anything every fucking time u visit any site u have to add certificates for that site )

Now setup your wallet with importing seeds and run PoS mining wallet 24x7 free for 1year and never miss voting chance and reward
    Happy mining ;p

This is my first guide on demand . im not good at making guides but still hope this will help u .

This is a really great guide. I have it up and running.
I just wondered has anyone using AWS missed any votes? I am assuming latency is sufficiently low for when ticket is called for vote.
    Thank you Rohit!

So far not a single one . You can download RD Client on iOS or Android to keep an eye on your PoS wallet .

    Happy PoS mining :p

For some strange reason, it tells me "DCRW: invalid passphrase" when I try to run the wallet, even though I'm sure my passphrase is correct. It worked locally, but not on AWS. I'm confused.

Hi, i've followed all steps described and looks is working fine....
I'm waiting to download the blockchain and let's see whats happen....but i have qa pair of questions...
From where i can see if my wallet is staking/voting correctly, or wich command i have to use to see transaction on it?
About the amazon server, i can close the session easily, important is that i don't kill the instance....isn't right?
Thanks for the great explaining....big up!!

ya make sure u dont kill the instance . And as i mentioned above u can use RD client on phone to monitor your instance . sometime wallet losses connection (time out waiting for RPC session ) . you just have to unlock wallet . this happen very rarely .

ya u can use Ubuntu Instance ,just select ubuntu instance while creating. after a year u can just pay for the service and its not expensive . And Yes, PoS mining is totally safe there is no chances of losing DCRs .

balancetomaintain = Fund you want to keep in wallet which will be spendable
ticketmaxprice = Maximum price you are willing to pay for A ticket

    .
    .
So balance to maintain is 1 that means 1decred coin will remain in my wallet, remaining will be used in the PoS mining?

what does MAx price for ticket mean and what is it?

balancetomaintain = Fund you dont want keep in wallet which will be spendable . Opps correction .

Ya remaining will be used in PoS mining .
Suppose you set maxprice at 5 . And 1 ticket cost 8dcr. wallet will not buy ticket until per ticket price is 5 or less than 5.

Unlocked balance of 20DCR. I have 175 tickets but it won't autobuy with balancetomaintain=1 and ticketmaxprice=10. My fees are set at 0.1 when avg is .05. Why can't I buy manually or automatically?

People had problem buying tickets with non-default fee in previous versions. Are you running latest release 0.0.5?

    I am using 0.0.5, thanks.
It did purchase 7 tickets overnight. I am still not sure how to interpret mempool. Maybe I was just ten hours back in line.

Also, I think it still does not matter what you set TXPRICE to as all mine are coming in at .05 (.1683... per kB). I tried to set to .1 to gain priority but not changing. Now mempool is up to 804!? That is a very long line.
