    Hi,
    Im new here and i do not understand anything much here. Can someone post a detailed guide on how and what everything is right now? Public testnet is out but i do not understand what is it even for.

    Please help. I want to learn

    Hey,
    Testnet is released prior to the launch of Mainnet. Mainnet is nothing but the actual launch of Decred coin to the public, which will be released in a week or two. Testnet is done inorder to identify potential bugs, issues and other problems that needs to be addressed before the Mainnet.

    I would suggest you to visit the Mining Dsicussion and other discussions to get yourself familiar.
