Apologies if this has been answered already. I searched and read through a lot of threads, but have not been able to find a direct or clear answer. I know a POS pool is coming, but for now, I'd like to set up a hot and cold wallet on different machines to solo stake a few coins. I know the setup for the cold wallet, and the --ticketaddress command to have the hot wallet do the voting. My question is, does the hot wallet also have to run with the --enablestakemining command? Or does it just need to be unlocked? The hot wallet in question has been set up with a new seed and has 0 balance.
My understanding is that you have to enablestakemining and unlock commands on the wallet that will vote in PoS. Otherwise, the wallet wont vote and you wont be able to receive the reward.
Very interesting. So, I see that the tickets I purchased from the cold wallet got sent to the hot wallet with the --ticketaddress I setup. Confirm that if rewarded, it will be paid out to the cold wallet?
