I assume you mean return on investment? Very good. Back in March I was getting a 10% return per fortnight. Given this, the popularity of PoS has increased so that's down somewhere to around 7%. I haven't run the numbers for a couple of weeks and this was before someone bought 4500DCR and stuffed them into the PoS pool so it's probably closer to 5-6% now.

As for stake pools, the advantage is you don't need to keep your wallet on 24/7. When the community pools are released, there will be a small fee per ticket purchased.

*UPDATE* Just redid the numbers given my current investment and I'm getting a 6.65% return every two weeks not including compounding.

The return % will fluctuate based on PoS ticket price. When it was at 2dcr in the beginning the return was 90% every 30 days or so. As the ticket price has moved the return will vary. If you can maintain a 180-200 ticket count you will average somewhere around 5-8 votes per day. Current return is 1.81dcr/vote.

The pools will be useful as said above, no need to keep your wallet online. The stake pools should also have a much lower % missed vote as they should be very well connected. Missed vote %s have been anywhere from 1% to 7% from some previous threads. Missed votes lower your return % as they give no reward AND the cost of the txfee/ticketfee is lost.

That all said PoS has been very profitable. I think it is about to get a little bit harder to get a good return. With banks offering 0.5%(ZIRP) or even negative rates(NIRP) getting 5% every month, 60%/year not including compounding is quite attractive. Once even a small percentage of people realize this I think there will be an influx to Decred on a massive scale. The Chinese have been using bitcoin recently as a currency hedge due to government fuckery with yuan values. There is no % return in BTC like PoS.

UPDATE - I just ran some quick numbers and I have almost a 100% return in 77 days time. That is starting from day 1 for PoS.

My very own crude and rather accurate rule of thumb on the ROI when base on ticket price of :

    2 DCR = 80% per month.
    4 DCR = 40% per month.
    8 DCR = 20% per month.
16 DCR = 10% per month. <- we are here now.

And so on, every time the ticket price double, the return is halved.

Take note that this also does not consider compounding effect which should give slightly more.
