Uploaded are the various .svg source files we've used to date in Decred design. Should have shared these a lot earlier. Hopefully they will serve designers well to build new things and/or modify existing ones. Any input and guidance will be appreciated. The primary colours used thus far include: #111 #333 #222 #fff #1d617d #43a2ca Look forward to seeing what people do with them - no matter what you change!
So I'm sure there was a reason for it, but I noticed something when I was setting up my stickers with these. Apparently that nice equilateral triangle framing the logo is composed of an instance of the logo itself plus 2 smaller instances and black blocks to fill in the gaps. I've attached the versions that I use for sticker cutting. Here's what their topology looks like. "Decred.svg" is my cleaned up version of logo_symbol.svg.
I confess my guilt in that travesty. I played with it to try and get it into better shape and mangled it a bit. I really appreciate you stepping up and fixing it. I will update the source files here - and we can use yours from here on out too. Much better file size as well.
remember, .svg file is not recognized by some image editors such as Photoshop, when you open the link always save as PNG who do not have this background and white edges, hug!
Incorrect. Basically not a single word in the quoted post is true. .svg stands for "Scalable Vector Graphics," it's a format recognized by most vector graphics programs, such as Inkscape, and is to vector graphics what .bmp is to raster graphics. (or .obj for polygonal mesh files, or .csv for spreadsheets, or .html for web pages). Changing the extension to .png doesn't do anything to the file itself, and software that can't open .svg files still won't be able to open them with a .png extension.
maybe you do not understand what I said SVG image editor, for the Svg file to open as a browser extension, such as HTML and not recognized, follow the screen with all formats compatible with Photoshop for example!
I don't care what Photoshop supports. I don't use Photoshop. I recognize that English is not your first language and you are clearly using translation software, but what you said was that ".svg file is not recognized by image editors" and this is blatantly false. 1: SVG files are read just fine by software intended for use with vector graphics 2: saving a .svg file with a .png extension will not make it miraculously work with software intended for use with raster graphics. Inkscape is a free image editor designed to work with vector graphics like those stored in .svg files. Can we please not clutter up the official logo thread with arguments, false information, and language-barrier misundestandings?
As for my English... it's not my main language, but I use a translator to put some messages, and in no way am putting false information on the forum, but helping users have questions or difficulty to create a logo or remaster if you have any questions can take my data with _ingsoc!
Yes, that's obvious. Unfortunately, Google's English to Portugese translation is awful, which means that anything you're sending through it is mangled beyond all recognition as "language." I understand a little Japanese and Spainish. Just enough to know exactly how bad Google's translation software is. Deliberate or not, the information you are posting is false, and you are posting incorrect or mistaken information in inappropriate locations. Please stop spamming the forum with incomprehensible posts mangled by faulty machine translation. Now. Please stop cluttering up this thread with arguments, false information, and language-barrier misundestandings. There's a Report button on your post, and I will start using it.
I don't think such hostility is required. You just have to post the right info if someone is posting incorrect information. In fact in this case it is a simple misunderstanding.
If you are an Adobe Suite fan, just open it with Illustrator. Illustrator handles SVG no problem, and can export to EPS (the Adobe bastard propitiatory format) with no trouble.
Adobe wants everyone to buy the entire suite, and punishes people with only one app from it. Or at least it seems that way...
