    I have been mining decred for some time now but randomly my miners stopped working and it keeps saying: empty data received in json_rpc_call get_work failed, retry after 30secs. I dont know what to do

    as much as we want to help, you haven't supplied much info here for others to begin helping you. let's start with that.

    what miner are you using? what version? was it recently updated? what dcrd version are you running? have you double checked your RPC connection works? have you tried using getwork via dcrctl?

    What @jrick said but maybe you shuffled things around and forgot to add miningaddr to dcrd.conf?
