    Hi jimbobuk,

Sorry for the late reply. We're mostly in Slack now and tend to neglect the forums which is something we need to work on.

I assume you're using Paymetheus? If so, you're talking about the screen that asks for a public key. You probably didn't set one, so just click Unlock on that screen.

Regardless of what you're running, you would have set up a wallet password when you created the wallet. If you've forgotten that, you can recreate the wallet using the seed words (you did save the seed words, right?)

If using PM, you will need to delete the wallet file in %localappdata$\Decred\Paymetheus\mainnet\wallet.db. When you restart PM you can create a new wallet using the seed and choose a new password.

The process is the same for CLI, but the wallet is located in %localappdata%\Dcrwallet\mainnet\wallet.db

I had messed around with different wallet implementations at first and couldn't get Paymetheus to work. I forgot what the specific problem was but in case all else fails for you, make sure to delete "Dcrd", "Dcrwallet" and "Decred" from /AppData/Local and then reinstall. Unless you already tried deleting them.

edit: deleting Dcrd probably not necessary? :D
