If i receive this message from dcrd BMGR: Lost peer 162.243.250.176:9108 (outbound) 05:29:22 2016-02-22 [INF] BMGR: Syncing to block height 4153 from peer 159.203.28. 85:9108 or this one from dcrwallet "RPC connection failed........., is like being offline, and all the funds and tickets blocked for N blocks? thx
The lost peer/syncing messages are normal. Check your wallet configuration and make sure you have rpc.cert in the right place (or run with the --notls flag).
any amount that you would like, so long as you clearly state how much u want to keep from buying tickets "balancetomaintain", use ticketmaxprice to indicate how much you would pay, for example ticketmaxprice=2 would mean that you would purchase a ticket for a maximum amount of 2 decred.
This is totally luck factor . May be u can vote after as soos as tkt is mature (after 256blocks) or may be your wont get selected till it get expire
so either way I would need to go past 256 from the point of purchase of a stake ticket in order to be selected for voting? Does that mean that I could switch off my wallet for 256 blocks and turn them back on after that? Since we have to wait for 256 blocks in order to get selected.
You can see that on block explorer as Stake Base (Newly Generated coins). The reward = right side - left side and profit = reward - tx fee.
Thanks! I haven't started PoS yet because I'm waiting for the pool to come up. I don't have the time at the moment to maintain yet another server instance.
Yeah . U can keep your wallet offline for 256blocks . But i wont recommend that . better safe then sorry
