It would be pretty cool to get a reward or gift of some sort for being on Decred Prelauch and Day One. Whare you guys opinon on this?
In my opinion, receiving the airdrop is a heck of a reward for being part of the pre launch for Decred.
Agreed. Is this not the basis of the airdrop; a free reward for those who showed an early interest in Decred. I propose offering a second reward; the knowledge that participants in this experiment are contributing to something that is greater than themselves, will create value, and leave a lasting mark in the world of cryptocurrency. This reward has no tangible value but it should leave the receiver with a good feeling...
Hello Since I only heard about Decred recently and missed the Airdrop registration deadline, I too think it would be nice for some of us "in-betweeners" (joined after airdrop registration but before launch) to get a small start. It wouldn't need to match the Airdrop amount, but maybe a small amount could be set aside for such a purpose.
The gift is the Airdrop in my humble opinion. We are part of a start, help others, and for sure you will find more of a gift in your wallet.
Yes. This is exactly how those who feel they have missed out can participate. Mining should yield some decent returns and will go towards helping support the network. I will not be mining for the first few weeks but will focus on setting up full nodes, so as to give newer participants a chance to mine with lower difficulty and gain more coins...
Thanks for the tips! Yes, I am interested in mining. I was looking around the site and it looks like for now I need to compile my own wallet?
The wallet has not been released as of yet, only the address generator has. If you hang around the forums you will see the notice once the miner/wallet has been released.
I thought it would be released today as the earlier announcement says a week after the airdrop closure. Keep expecting.
Profile status "Early Bird" sounds ok for those who wrote some messages on the forum before launch of the mainnet But for sure the main reward was Airdrop, I don't think that early community members need something else.
In the beginning of bitcoin, mining was easy, and coins were cheap. People who started in the first few YEARS got coins for under $20.
