Anyone with only 1 VGA (up to 2 Gh/s hashrate) still solo mining? Can we calculate how much DCR share will someone per MH/s get if he'll enter a pool? Or it's too soon?

It looks like I've been automatically passing my coins down a chain of automatically generated addresses all in my "default" account. But getbalance reports only the balance (0) left in the first address. It's not clear how to get control of these large sets of addresses.

I'm tempted to restart dcrwallet with the --reuseaddress option, but it's not clear what I'll lose if I interrupt the continuity of the mining.

    Cheers,

    Mike O'Donnell

    Mike,

I have mined so far .08 decreds with my 6 years old GPU. While your GPU is certainly more powerful than mine, your airdrop is worth more than what you have mined so far.

    Creating the wallet...
The wallet has been created successfully.

Wallet was created using the seed of this in landing
How do I open the address set up in landing?

You can check your balance with:
dcrctl -u user -P pass --wallet getbalance
Make sure your dcrd client is running, along with your wallet daemon.

Also, this is to unlock your wallet for 120 seconds:
dcrctl -u user -P pass --wallet walletpassphrase yourpassphrase 120

    And, to send:
dcrctl -u user -P pass --wallet sendtoaddress address 100
Of course, replace 100 with whatever amount you want to send.

    Hope this helps!

I have seeds and Hex, the first address and the public key received in landing.
    I enter dcrwallet --create
    I design a private passphrase
invent public passphrase - WHY? because the public key I already have.
I answer to the question about the seed - and insert 33 words
    purse generated
How to open address obtained in landing? Why do I need to create it if I already have?

sam biohazard offers enter the following line: dc wallet --username [username you created for wallet as prerequisite] --password [password you created for wallet as prerequisite] --dcrdusername = [rpcuser for daemon] --dcrdpassword = [rpcpass for daemon ] --walletpass [public passpharse for wallet]
where: dcrwallet --username [Private passphrase] --password [Where can I get it ??? Wallet does not offer it to me to create] --dcrdusername = [name of the demon] --dcrdpassword = [password demon] --walletpass [public passpharse invented in the generation or received in landing ???]

Do I understand correctly that one's wallet and addresses them, and surely can be created a lot whether that addresses all of the wallet is the general balance of the wallet?

huh, how Google translated - like crazy :)) delirium)

The passphrase is a security measure you only use it with your wallet. That way if someone gets your username and password, they still won't have your passphrase.
About creating the airdrop wallet: these steps install the wallet on your computer, so you can access your Decred. If you want something way simpler, you can wait for wallet.decred.org . It's down now, but it'll probably be back up soon. If you use your 33 seed words there, you'll at least have access to your Decred, and worry about all this other stuff later.

For the wallet password, use the same password you used for the dcrd client. And when you see -dcrdusername and -dcrdpassword, it's the same user and password as the dcrd client.

The last part Google translate messed up, so I hope I understood. You can add your airdrop address to any wallet, and it'll access the same balance. But it's generally recommended you only add it to one wallet. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, please.
I REALLY hope I didn't make things worse! Google translate mangles everything.

Your username & password you invent, while your public passphrase is one invented in generation.

Good to see that you've also included @davecgh's hex to words conversion utility to your guide.

A cgminer for 32-bit Windows (with no TLS support) also released but of course I suggest 64-Bit Windows users to stay with the x64 version.

Did you first set up dcrd and drcrd wallet as told at the first page of this tutorial ? Did you participate in the airdrop ?

Ok, here's a summary. I assume your GPU is ready. What i will talk about is pool mining because solo mining is too hazardous. Go make an account in one of the pool website. I choose pool.mn. Muulticoin.co posed trouble so avoid it.

Once you registered to the pool you have to setup a worker. The worker will have its own name and its own password.

The you need to create a decred address to receive your mined decreds. It is done with such command:
Do not forget to type the ./ before the commands i.e. ./dcrctl blablablah
    1. dcrctl -u [must be same as wallet username] -P [must be same wallet password] --walletpass [publicpassphrase for wallet] --wallet getnewaddress
    2. Copy the address shown, you will need it for mining.
The, you need to sicn you wallet with the new xcreated address it is done as such: dcrd --rpcuser [your already created username for dcrd] --rpcpass [your already created strong password for dcrd] --miningaddr [your newly created address]

Now, you are ready to use cgminer: if you have registered to pool.mn for example the command will be:

    cgminer --blake256 -o http://dcr.pool.mn:4722 -u webloginID.workername -p workerpassword

Weblogin id is the login you choose for your pool account

    "New Block"
    "New Block Detected"

Is that me finding a block?

Also Pool 0 not providing work fast enough, while solo mining, is that normal?

I dont think so, your hashrate is too low & A:0
Its just that a new block is detected on network that someone else mined
