    Completely agree here, as a full time developer I am struggling a bit here as well.
    I got testnet working fine, hopefully the guys will be able to setup a user friendly guide for the average joe

    which parts are you having trouble with ?

    happy to give you and @BigBertha a hand where i can. I got testnet working within an hour. mainnet seems to be a bit more work. because i want to really be careful not to loose my airdrop wallet. and make sure its working first time

    can you please also look in dcrwallet folder? your screenshot shows dcrd folder. If files are not there, just try copying from dcrd folder

    i know but for devs probably getting a GUI wallet out a few days later is better than delaying the launch. They already delayed it from 3rd to 8th. Delaying again would have created unnecessary FUD. I am sure GUI will be out soon as there was already an official one in making. Its just about priorities. This is no instamine pump and dump coins so if you get on a little late for mining, it wont matter much.

    Tried moving the .cert's to the location it was looking for. But now getting,
    "oversize record..."

    anyone else?

    Frustrating to be stuck at 99%... Could a blank miner console be a bug? No error messages, and authentication goes well, but no mining performance shown, just blank.

    Well managed to get passed the authentication errors but now have just a blank screen one CGMiner begins working. If I kill it - it returns with the stats of it's work it performed but screen does not update as it's running. Anyone else have the same problem?

    You dont need the --cert for pool because they dont use https

    i am not sure but are you using all the right passwords & usernames. Also if you created a public passphrase are you using it while running dcrwallet.

    thanks for pointing that out, will change now in guide.

    EDIT: works both with and without --cert for me.

    okay when i am trying to check balance to see if i imported seed right it says : rpc.cert the system cannot find the file specified
