Same message. Maybe it has something to do with TLS which is disabled in windows if i understand well. I won't blame you if you are tired of me. :)

lol not tired but as frustated as you to not be able to solve your problem. Latest release now uses TLS on windows. Also there is a version 0.0.4 out try with that one.

    https://github.com/decred/cgminer/releases/tag/v0.0.4

will update in guide as well.

I have something different since i relaunched dcrd with the --notls option.

    [2016-02-08 21:56:45] Started cgminer 3.7.2
[2016-02-08 21:56:45] Probing for an alive pool
    [2016-02-08 21:56:45] Network diff set to 32.8K (target 1b01ffff)
    [2016-02-08 21:56:45] No suitable long-poll found for http://127.0.0.1:9109
[2016-02-08 21:58:44] New block detected on network

    Seems to work :)

    48 Mh/sec, the 9800 is such a puny card. :p

How do I verify if my mining setup is correct?
I have 3 consoles running... following your guide
    1. dcrd.exe
    2. dcrdwallet.exe
    3. cgminer
    Cgminer looks like this [IMG]

When I tried this on testnet I did basically the same process overnight and received no coins. How do I verify that the process is working correctly?

Congrats! you are mining on mainnet. Although diff is too high so you are highly unlikely to find any blocks. All the parameters look right so i think you are mining correctly.

I would suggest anyone who doesn't have more than 1 machine full of cards to switch to one of the pools now unless you like lottery.

    Ok, i get this:

    [2016-02-08 22:42:57] Started cgminer 3.7.2
[2016-02-08 22:42:57] Probing for an alive pool
    [2016-02-08 22:42:57] Network diff set to 1.67K (target 1b274832)
    [2016-02-08 22:42:57] No suitable long-poll found for http://decred.multicoin
    .co:8332

Is the last line a problem or not ?

Can i use the new address created for the solo mining for the pool ?

    Linux 64 bit.
You might add this to your step about creating the wallet.. Using special characters in the public and private passphrases during the creation of the wallet will work and the wallet will create successfully. The only thing is.. running the wallet and using --walletpass=publicpassphrase will make the process hang and not run. DO NOT USE SPECIAL CHARACTERS IN YOUR PASSPHRASES.

Whatever I try, allways got error Pool 0 slow/down or URL or credentials invalid.
Daemon says: TLS handshake error from 127.0.0.1:50114.......
I tryed everything from tutorials, also delete files and wallet few times. Just nothing work for me :(.
