I have just tried using the online wallet from wallet.decred.org, and used the receiving addresses it generated to withdraw some Decred from Bittrex . I made two withdrawal attempts. Unfortunately Bittrex could not complete the withdrawals because they say the receiving addresses were invalid. I made sure on both occasions to ensure the receiving addresses I entered were correct. Is this a gitch with the wallet perhaps ?. Any help appreciated.
Hello, I would just like to add that I have found that the issue was with the wallet receiving addresses I was given to use.....one of them was ... TsZ6imfsakpHdK6sLgcirphDi9L9ywnfTDR ....... and as all Decred addresses start with a D the problem unless I am mistaken lies with the wallet and not with the exchange. I have now downloaded and used the Paymethus wallet and that works very well.....no problems moving my Decred onto that wallet from Bittrex.
Ok ..I've now found out that I was being given TESTNET receiving addresses by my original wallet which can't receive Decred.....I then had to delete that wallet and create a new one when given the option....I renamed mine and went through the seed creation process yet again and now all's well. But for new users.....unless I missed something (which is quite possible) why isn't this made much clearer from the start for new people like myself..?.
No, you're right, it defaults to Test net, which is a problem. This will be changed in the very near future, if it hasn't already.
