No need to use your own cards or so. You can buy pretty cheap hashing power in EU and US and mine ANY pool you want from guys - http://hashnice.com

You can also sell there your hashing power but currently we need to mine more DCR :)

Unfortunately there are currently no Blake256 14 round miners online right now. :(

"Cloud mining platform", great idea, I used to GPU mine back in the day but it was too messy for me, the heat generated from the three GPUs and the unholy noise coming from the bloody thing ... I'm not a hardware guy myself - anyway, as @Reynold said , unfortunately no r14 are online at the moment. Will keep checking if that changes in the future, I would definitely order the service if I could.

    I found this: https://www.miningrigrentals.com/rigs/blake256

But at least according to my calculation, the cost of the rental for 24hrs is roughly the same as the expected mined amount in that time with those prices (with 3.1G, price for 24 hour rental is around 3DCR and using a pool you get just slightly more than that, say around 3.3)... so then it begs the question why not just buy the DCR directly with BTC, as it's the same just much faster. Doesn't look viable to me.

Buying DCR directly with BTC makes sense right now because the prices are low enough, but when the prices get higher, the rigs will be making more (DCR) money. I'll go check that link out and maybe take it for a spin. Thanks.

Is there any place where I can use my existing decred to pay for POW mining?

@Ayush, I was just looking at the miningrigrentals.com link that @Tivra shared and they have some DCR miners ready. You would have to pay in BTC however.

But why would you mine DCR with BTC paid for by other DCR?

I haven't done the math yet, so I'm not saying don't do it. :)

U don't think it may be profitable?
Any other way to earn decred without other inputs? I am currently doing pos mining with the pool but the reward also will keep redusing so looking for an alternative.

Well all methods you can use to get BTC you can instantly transfer BTC into DCR thru BitTrex
    (Or any other altcoin)

    https://www.xbtfreelancer.com/ , https://coinality.com/ maybe ?

As for Windows 10, I am not PoW mining myself, just PoS. But there is a tutorial already somewhere, I'm sure.

When DCR goes higher, rental rates will go higher. Nobody sells money for less money. Renting a rig is always more expensive than just buying the coins directly at market prices. Otherwise they wouldn't rent them but mine and sell coins.

But then why would anyone hire rigs in the first place? It's never a good deal for the person buying mining time then.

It isn't worth. Rewards dropped every week since February and the last few days have seen massive hashrate coming into DCR, probably by ETH miners who now mine DCR with a dual miner. There are tens of thousands of cards mining ETH. If only a few thousand more of them start co-mining DCR, DCR mining will become a loss for most small miners. And it will happen since it doesn't cost them anything to dual-mine DCR too.

Mine it, for altruistic reasons but don't expect profit from this.
