Hey everyone, please make sure your proposal is submitted by 12:00 PM CST March 1st, 2016. The project would like all proposals in by then so work on RFP-1 can kick off in good time. A decision will be made on Tuesday as well. Proposals receive attention as they come in. Thank you to everyone who has shown interest so far! The RFP process is a new one, but crucial to the decentralisation of Decred development beyond just the current developers. In time, it will become more refined and familiar to future participants. Your involvement helps bring on that refinement!
These are some great mockups. Nice work, everyone! Remember to write your proposals up and send them before 12:00 PM CST March 1st, 2016. They must be in proposal form to receive formal consideration. Really cool to see different designs and ideas - it's an evolving process.
Would anyone like to work together on this/combine proposal for both parts? I can easily handle the additional functionality for staking, ticket purchases, etc but UI design isn't my strong suit.
As you can read in the RFP, the proposals have to be submitted before 12:00 PM CST March 1st, 2016. Add to this the decision making process + the development time (estimated workload is (at least) one full working week) + testing + implementation... All in all, I think it is reasonable to expect that the earliest launch date is somewhere mid-April? Correct me if I'm wrong.
The proposal RFP-1 is given to will be announced within 24 hours. Few loose ends to tie up and then it'll be updated here.
Thank you to everyone who submitted proposals. After careful consideration, the proposals selected to complete the tasks in this RFP are those made by @linnutee and @madferreiro. @linnutee will be working on the UI/UX design components, and @madferreiro will working on UI integration using WPF (Windows Presentation Format) once a design is completed. As much as the project would like to help everyone, selection of proposals to complete milestones is a tough job. Please do not feel discouraged from putting forward proposals for future RFPs, as the RFP process is continuous and iterative. Every round is a blank slate for you and your contributions are encouraged and valued. The project will put up a template for submission based on these first rounds of RFPs to give examples you can look at when drafting future proposals for submission. The selected proposals will also be posted after consultation with the selected parties (minus personal details). Please remember that all proposals must be delivered via the e-mail given in the OP text and include (1) a detailed description of the work, (2) a series of milestones, and (3) a quote, itemised by milestone. Please read the RFP announcement thread for more information and to post questions there about the process if you are unclear. Without further ado, let's kick off RFP-1 and start knocking down the milestones!
I know right. I am waiting for the release of this wallet in the hope of staking. I know nothing about CLI
