I don't know if my solo is not working right or not , I get a new block detected on network, but it doesn't seem it is mining, I have tried pool and it works just fine. What could be wrong?

I am using start_local with my own credentials in user and password:

    cgminer --blake256 -o 127.0.0.1:9109 -u ********* -p *********

So I think you are fine. I have also gotten that message with local mining; can happen when the block changes. Consider changing the amount of work to queue to like 2. However, I gotta say with 1 GPU you should probably stick to pools. Your average time to find a block is over a week (with what I assume is a 280x?)

A question though, why cant i see your temps on that image?

hmmm whats your core speed on the 290, since blake256 is an algo that does not depend on memory if you can drop your memory speed (to lower temp) and up your core I would expect 1.7 gigs/s on that card, can you push the core to like 1000-1050?
