I only recently heard of decred and I like the premise behind it. Right now I'm doing proof of work mining simultaneous with ethereum, but it's going to take a few months before I can acquire even 1 dcr. I've been looking at exchanging all of my BCH for DCR, but with the amount I have right now, I'd only have 3 DCR. Is this enough to begin staking? If not, is there any other means of acquiring DCR without cash (I currently can't invest cash into it) i.e. another airdrop (wish I heard of this sooner so I could have participated in that.)

    Thanks!

No, 3 is not enough to stake it. The price fluctuates, but one ticket is around 80 decred right now.

Wait for ticket splitting in 2018, but even when tickets can be split on 32 pieces you'd likely need more than 3 DCR.

Trade on exchange if you're good at it.

But a better option is help the project with your hands and get paid in DCR. Read Decred Recruiting , join Slack #recruiting channel and ask what you can do. The team is very open.
