That would defeat the purpose and be a public pool then Well, almost. I am still learning how to set one up properly (just for my own rigs), but it's not my first priority these days. If you have more than a few cards you will be better off with your own private pool. I suspect the big pools with many hundreds of workers are missing blocks due to poorly configured workers and flawed xxminer versions. Just a guess though. Edit: A few people with well tuned rigs mining in a private pool, i.e. a pool only they have access to, will certainly mine more profitable than pointing their rigs to a big public pool.
ah.. I'm gonna get more cards coming in soon, but have no idea on how a private pool is constructed. I heard that making a pool requires Linux OS? I've been monitoring very closely to my earnings daily and the pool earnings are indeed getting lower and lower and it seems like we are missing blocks despite that huge amount of hashrate in the pool.. hmm
@ocminer Hello. In an automatic payment status shows confirmed, however there TX # listed as the other payments received. I checked my portfolio transactions and explorer block and can not find the payment. You verify this? Thank you.
Whats up with this: !!! WARNING !!! You seem to be sending a large amount of INVALID shares ! Check your rigs, you might be mining the wrong algo and your hashrate could be displayed wrong! !!! WARNING !!! Using the same setup for weeks without any problems. Any more peeps with this error notification? --Edit-- Problem seems to have solved itself
@ocminer: Is it possible that suprnova pool is mining since two hours in empty space? "Unable to connect to wallet RPC service: RPC call did not return 200: HTTP error: 429 - JSON Response: []". You'll never mine into hot air as there is a load balancer and a backup daemon in the background where the pool automatically switches in case the main daemon goes bogus. This was the case, and i've just restarted the main daemon, all the blocks that were found have been credited too currently.
@ocminer what does it mean when block is found and actual shares is 1? there is one block that was found but no transaction/payout is given. Block Validity Finder Time Difficulty Amount Expected Shares Actual Shares Percentage 16260 230 left Papenko 04/04/2016 11:15:59 370,941.1696 18.5997 370,941 1 0.00
Looks like a lucky Block with the next share after the last Block was found.this happens extremely rarely, ill double check that everything is right there
Out of the last 20 blocks found by suprnova, 7 blocks have less than 5 votes. That's 35% and probably more than it should be compared to the historical average of 14%.
Thanks for monitoring, i've doubled checked my refresh scripts - everything is as good as it was all the time, the only thing changed was the upgrade to 0.0.9 when it was released. I'll wait for 12 more hours and if it is still as bad I'll revert to 0.0.8
Nice example. That user will have received the full block reward (minus the 1% pool fee of course) while mining in such a huge pool with hundreds of other users. Check "Round Transactions" under Statistics/Rounds.
@ocminer theres been a dramatic drop on my hashrate in the pool, are there any issue with the pool? There are times that the activity is 0 for a few seconds and some for quite awhile. Constant hashrate of 18-24gh in the past and now its about 6-20 gh. Anything that might cause it?
Hi Im using cgminer 3.7.2 blake 256 kernel. I noticed blocked found on the console but not on supernova. Also hashrate reported is higher on console compared to pool. What's the latest stable release? cgminer is a bust. Reporting found block but in reality is a brick.and the difficulty is fixed at 1.33k which is 340k now. Thanks.
Hi, I believe you misunderstood LongPoll block. That doesn't mean that you found a block on your account.. if you found a block it would display "something----" FOUND! Did you check your vectors setting? It appears that putting any value higher than 1 would increase your cgminer hashrate number by 1 times. But that is not the exact hashrate you're getting, its "fake". With your best share sitting at 39.7K, its impossible that you found even 1 block (Correct me if I'm wrong). What GPUs are you running on?
Thanks @MiloIce 290x. I think there's something wrong with this cgminer. There is no vectors parameter in my config file. The hashrate at the pool drops but a few times equal to the cgminer. I tried to run on 64 difficulty but i think 8 works better. How do i run the stratum proxy on windows 7?
@MiloIce To find a block my best share should be higher than the difficulty right? but the difficulty on cgminer is stuck at 1.33k which should be 340k. Its false positive report from the miner. Should be corrected on next version. Cant find an sgminer link.
