Do you plan on mining DCR exclusively? I have a similar setup on one of my rigs, and I would like to know how much GH/s you get with this mining on DCR alone. Mine is dual mining, pulling ~4GH/s (DCR) and ~134MH/s (ETH) Even though from my experience these MSI cards run less intense and have very good fan efficiency, remember that the wattage needs to be dissipated for the sake of the investment.
After the latest hard fork of DCR, I'm having trouble getting miners to work solo with DCR. It's ok tho, 'cuz Claymore got his miner working with it. Here are the parameters I'm using: -allcoins 1 -allpools 1 -r 1 -etha 0 -mode 0 -gser 0 -eres 2 -ethi 8 -dcri 60 Anything over 60 for the -dcri flag makes the ETH miner show down. I also removed all overclocking on my GPU's for now.
About two weeks ago, I got my 6 x RX580 8GB Rig working. I just checked the prices again to see if I should replace my old rigs with all RX580, but currently they are going for ~$700 (AMAZON), and even $500 -$1100 (eBay). Has anybody here purchased these cards for PoW? and for how much?
My first RX 580 still has to get here, 7/10-7/20 it says for shipping date. I ordered 2 more, but they got cancelled by the vendor. I suspect they were selling too low ~$400 and that's why they claimed they were out of stock. Yes, the prices are high, but until now I can't tell you what kind of hash rate they get.
