Has anyone any information about how big a transaction to send to a staking wallet would be ie: 5,10,15,25(if you have enough), for the best possible returns. ?? Thankyou.

I'm not sure what you're asking. When you purchase a ticket, you only pay the price of the ticket as determined by the dynamic adjustment algorithm.

Hi, may I know if there is a way to only do PoS mining? Also, are we going to use the same platform like how we did for PoW?

    Another noob questions here:

    1) Is buying tickets and voting are automatic? As I understand from wiki, to start mining the only thing I need to do is add some options to dcrwallet.
Will it buy tickets and vote automatically after thgat setup?

    2) To setup stakemining I have to choose ticketmaxprice. What if I set it to 20 (i.e) but the price will rise to 50. In this case dcrwallet will not buy any tickets? And no voting, no rewards? If yes, how I can know resonable price for tickets? Can I setup dcrwallet to buy tickets for any price?

    Thanks!

So I appear to have set up my wallet for stake mining, but I'm not real sure what's going on. I set --balancetomaintain 100 but when I check my balance with getbalance it shows as 0 now. The wallet appears to be buying tickets still fairly regularly ("Successfully sent SStx purchase transaction ..."). Looking at my balance on https://mainnet.decred.org/ it shows that I sent my full airdrop worth of decred (282) in one transaction leaving my base wallet with 0. Is that because the full contents of that wallet are now "in flight" in the dcrwallet process and it just won't spend 100 of them?

I am not from Brazil, nor did I give my seed to someone (as far as I'm aware :p).

Should I assume from your response that my decred have been appropriated by a nefarious party? :p

You can buy ticket in 2 way:

1- automatic : open your wallet with this command:

    dcrwallet -u XXX -P XXX --dcrdusername=XXX --dcrdpassword=XXX --enablestakemining --balancetomaintain=XXX --ticketmaxprice=XXX

2- manual with an hard command that i'm trying to test yet!!

balancetomaintain : how much money leave in your wallet, all above that is used to buy tickets
ticketmaxprice : how much are you willing to pay for the ticket at most
