If anyone else is interested in another dinner delivery - I'm more than willing to negotiate trades. =] I am just waiting for a reputable exchange to open so I can stock up on DCR; so it's all the same to me.
hahaha nice one @Fsig !! First decred pizza delivered in Australia. The land that actively closes down the bank accounts of crypto businesses. Love it
I'm also interested in buying some decreds. Obviously I can't offer a better pizza than BrandonReynolds so...anyone thirsty ?
Do you have the 30-ish word wallet generation key and the airdrop address you generated with dcraddrgen back in January?
I just realised on the launch that I had not saved the seeds and thought the key it generated was the key that would let me open my wallet up. It does sort of hurt now, not just cause i trusted this coin from the very beginning, but looking at the prices of it just being on one exchange is insane. Hope I'll be able to get me some before they hit poloniex. Anyway, anyone interested in opening a thread talking about burnt coins already proven to be lost in the nether? ;P
Seriously, people. It's not like you weren't informed. We were even told to verify it with the verify.bat utility included in the download. At least @Acidyo is being a good sport about it, but really. That key *is* your wallet.
I did use the verify thing, I just did the mistake of writing down the seed immediately into the thing than forgot I wasn't supposed to hit enter, then somehow didn't realise what I had done and thought the key that was created in keys.txt was the one that would unlock my airdrop.
I didn't get my blasted AIRDROP coins because they were STOLEN!!! I have everything to prove it! The original word-seed that was generated in January (along with the mainet address0 + the generated public key which I saved in a non-public area of my pc.(only I can access the info file.) - I also explained that I'll need the web wallet or a proper gui wallet in order to import my wallet-seed, but NO! that's just too much to ask isn't it!! Why is the web-wallet down btw? In-short you OWE me 282 DCR - Thank You!
Nobody 'owes' you a thing. You were privileged enough to be able to participate in the release of Decred. For all I know, the transaction listed could be you moving your coins to a secondary wallet. If not, people have reported this happening, and the suggestion I always see is check if you leaked your passwords or anything anywhere.
Did you use a wallet GUI made by someone? Do you use a Firewall? Do you use Windows? Do you check for virus, malware, keyloggers, rootkits, etc...? Provide more information man...
PoS locking coins allows you to get your tickets selected in the process of staking. Staking is the alternative to PoW (mining), and must always be online in order to not miss opportunities. It works a bit like a lottery system, in where you buy tickets, and tickets win. There is less than 1% chance that your ticket will not win before it expires. While your coins are 'locked' they can't be spent. In a few words, PoS is another way to earn Decred, that many prefer due to the fact that it requires less. Read this is you have any more questions on PoS.
It's not our fault you used the EXAMPLE key shown on the confirmation page instead of following the instructions which said to download the executable file for your operating system and using that. Nobody owes you anything. [edit] Your generation key was: Code: treadmill Chicago wallet phonetic absurd midsummer fracture bottomless Vulcan leprosy snapline corporate classroom gravity klaxon tolerance drainage Cherokee payday headwaters concert existence edict therapist rematch torpedo necklace bravado revenge outfielder adult specialist swelter It generates the same public address you're using, but go ahead and verify against the key you saved securely on your computer. I just generated your wallet to check if there was anything in it. Unfortunately for you, one of the other people using that key figured out already that their coins were exposed and swept them to a secure location.
