In this thread i will ask you , who have the airdrop until now and still buy Decred again and again ?? . i still hold Decred from airdrop and buy Decred in price $1.6 , until now my stake is around $1,100 .
my only cost on DCR is that of mining. Considering that currently my cost per DCR is 7302 satoshi. lol quite safe from any dump.
Using airdrop for PoS, and waiting for the hype to die down, so I can buy some more. - And of course like Rohit, I'm waiting for asics.
Some people (@Wolf ) already started to config their FPGA for decred . I dont think ASIC are far away from this stage .
They are hypothesizing that once decred becomes desired enough in future that there is a demand for ASICs then its quite easy to build blake 14 round ASICs and they will buy one.
Don't worry, when ASICs will come the only people mining any coins will be the Chinese ASIC manufacturers. Good luck for those waiting for ASICs. If you are "lucky" you will prepay for your ASIC so you sponsor the manufacturer who will mine with your capital and send you half a year later a worthless electric heater. While he will produce for himself 10 more for every ASIC you have prepaid and received too late.
Similar story here, I'm saving all my airdrop $DCR for the PoS pool that will hopefully soon come out. It's totally crazy, the airdrop is worth around 760 Dollars (at the time of typing)...
By coincidence I just started selling Decred ASICs on ebay. You'll never break even, sorry mate (no Ethernet port therefore to cut costs), but they keep your house warm in winter and they are just $999.99 a piece. Buy two get three get two!
Well, more experienced guys than me recommended some sort of R9 Nano. But all depends how deep is your pocket. Right now I'm in proccess of building mining rig and I think I will buy second hand R9 295X2 for about 500€. If this one will go sold I will try to grab few R9 280X. Now they are quite cheap and performing well for me.
I may have to start selling some of my decred ASICs too @LastNinja. We should agree between us though that we do not sell them below $999.99. Does that sound like a plan for us to make the most money?
Holding airdrop, bought some, and PoW mining. Was excited for PoS mining, but haven't jumped in. Waiting for more clear and simple execution around this. Selling is not on the agenda, but would be hard to hold back if it results in early retirement. Should that opportunity arise, I would consider parting with 50%. The airdrop itself will remain unsold for a year minimum.
